Guided by our Purpose, the Group promotes sustainable management and has newly identified six management priorities starting in FY2026.
Toward the achievement of the Furukawa Electric Group Vision 2030, we will address these management priorities, aiming to achieve sustainable growth through solving social issues, while enhancing medium- to long-term corporate value.
For further details, please refer to “2030 Management policy” in the “For Investors” section on our website.
Note: For the material issues (materiality) identified for FY2025 (the FY2025 Medium-term Management Plan period), please refer to the Sustainability Book 2025.
Identification of management priorities was conducted through a four-step process. First, in Step 1, we identified social issues based on “external factors” and “internal factors” and created a list of significant items. In Step 2, the “importance to shareholders and investors” was evaluated as High, Medium, or Low. In Step 3, the “importance to achieving the Vision 2030” was evaluated as High, Medium, or Low based on the likelihood and timing of occurrence of risks and opportunities, as well as the magnitude of financial impact. In Step 4, items identified as high-priority through Steps 2 and 3 were classified into “key issues for achieving the Vision 2030” and “key issues for fulfilling corporate social responsibility (CSR) and strengthening relationships of trust with stakeholders.” The former were then further organized to identify the management priorities for the achievement of the Vision 2030.
Going forward, we will regularly conduct these steps and review the management priorities as necessary.
Note: We distinguish between “management priorities” for the achievement of the Vision 2030 and “key issues” for fulfilling CSR and strengthening relationships of trust with stakeholders.
